- To commemorate Mozart, the world famous vaulting horse, vaulters from all of California gathered for competition at the Mozart Memorial Vaulting Classic over the weekend. With a healthy turnout of top champion vaulters including Mary Garrett, Alicen Divita, Emily Rose, and Emily Hogye the competition showcased high quality and intense performances.

Mary McCormick came out as the clear leader with an overall vaulting score 8.160 combined of round 1 of 8.253 and 8.067 from her 2nd round score. Mary Garrett followed in 2nd place with an overall score of 7.861 (7.894 RI plus 7.827 RII) and close behind in 3rd place was Alicen Divita with an overall score of 7.806 (7.795 RI plus 7.817 RII).

The Mozart Memorial Vaulting Classic organized at the world class Equestrian facility – Spirit Equestrian in Somis, California, is the brainchild of Patty Littmann. Patty has dedicated the event to the world famous vaulting horse Mozart. Mozart's story began when he was imported by Malibu Equestrian Estate and sold to Patty. Mozart went on to be one of the most influential vaulting horses in USA vaulting history.

Nicknamed: “Mr Dependability”, many world champion vaulters representing the USA had achieved great accomplishments both internationally and nationally. For all of his accomplishments Patty wanted to make sure that he is never forgotten.
