Intercollegiate Saddle Seat Riding Association National Championship Horse Show Starts Friday

RELEASE: April 9, 2013
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: ISSRA

The Intercollegiate Saddle Seat Riding Association (ISSRA) National Championship Horse Show will be held directly following the afternoon session of the Kentucky Spring Premier Horse Show on Friday, April 12th in the Altech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.  The University of Kentucky Saddle Seat Team is the host of this years’ horse show.  Major sponsors of the show include the United States Equestrian Federation and Becker Brothers, both of Lexington.

Founded in 2008 by Dr. Sally Haydon, the mission of ISSRA is to establish saddle seat riding teams at colleges and universities across the United States providing beginners through experienced and/or advanced riders with an opportunity to learn to ride or continue their riding and showing throughout college without the necessity of owning a horse while in college.

More information about the Intercollegiate Saddle Seat Riding Association can be found at http://www.intercollegiatesaddleseat.com.
