Americans Rocket Up International Eventing Rankings

RELEASE: June 2, 2012
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: Andrew Minnick

The June 1st FEI Eventing HSBC Rankings saw two Americans rise from ranks in the mid twenties all the way up into the top five. Jumping from 23rd to 5th place was Phillip Dutton who has amassed 351 points this season. Making Dutton's 18 place jump seem paltry was Boyd Martin who moved from 24th into a ranking as the 3rd best rider in the world.

The only two riders with greater point totals than Martin's 420 are New Zealand's Andrew Nicholson with 515 and Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event presented by Birdgestone winner William Fox-Pitt with 564.

New Zealand matches the U.S. with two riders in the top five on the strength of Jonathan Paget's 377 points which vaulted him from 12th to 4th.

American's Buck Davidson and Marilyn Little-Meredith are also ranked in the top 25 at 18th and 24th respectively.

The  complete ranking are available at data.fei.org.
