Urgent Recall of PreveNile® West Nile Virus Vaccine Announced

In a letter sent to veterinarians, Intervet Schering-Plough announced an urgent, voluntary recal of all serial numbers of Prevenile® West Nile Virus vaccine for horses. The recall is due to an increased incidence of adverse effects. The United States Department of Agriculture, Center for Veterinary Biologics has been notified.

All veterinarians are urged to check their inventory. The serial numbers included in the recall include:
