2010 Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic Adds Second USEF-Rated Week

The Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Show, Inc., is pleased to announce that the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic has been extended to include a second week of USEF-rated horse show. The competition dates for 2010 are now July 9-July 25, at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills, OH.

Competition will begin with an unrated opening weekend, which is recognized by OPHA, WPaPHA and Up and Over, from July 9-11, including the Riders with Disabilities competition on July 9. The first rated week, July 14-18, will include USEF AA-rated hunters and Level 4-rated jumper competition. Special classes include the $10,000 Welcome Stake, the $10,000 The Chronicle of the Horse/United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) International Hunter Derby, the $7,500 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Series and the $30,000 Cleveland Grand Prix on July 18.

The second week of rated showing, July 22-25, will include USEF A-rated hunter competition and jumper Level 2-rated competition. This is the first year the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic will include two weeks of rated competition. All rated entries close June 25, 2010. Opening weekend entries close July 2, 2010.

2009 Hunter Jumper Classic Earns Member’s Choice Award
The 2009 Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic was selected as a USHJA A/AA-rated Member’s Choice award-winning competition for Zone 5. It was one of only 24 award recipients.

The Member’s Choice Awards Program gives horse show exhibitors and participants the opportunity to award excellence at USEF Licensed Hunter Jumper competitions through their feedback relating to the competition, the facility where it took place, footing, show personnel and hospitality. The goal of the Member’s Choice Awards Program is to promote exhibitor friendly competitions and reward excellence based on the amenities and qualities that exhibitor’s value.

The Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic is presented by the Chagrin Valley PHA (Professional Horsemen’s Association) Horse Show, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization headed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, comprised of local residents, business leaders and equestrians, who run the show with the help of a large volunteer team of more than 200 individuals.
