Springfield Stables Provides Generous Sponsorship at $25,000 Chicago Hunter Derby

RELEASE: August 25, 2009
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: By Lauren Fisher

Springfield Stables, a full service equestrian facility specializing in hunters and jumpers will soon be opening its brand new, state-of the art riding facility in Mettawa, IL. As the facility prepares to open its doors, owner Gregory H. Sachs and manager and head trainer Jenn Tirrell will be taking part in the $25,000 Chicago Hunter Derby, which is being held on August 30, 2009, at Annali Farm in Antioch, IL. Hosted by Chicago Equestrians for a Cause, the Chicago Hunter Derby has lined up an amazing list of sponsors for this unique event, and Springfield Stables has generously contributed to the worthwhile cause as a gold-level sponsor.

The Chicago Hunter Derby will be held to raise money for Chicago Equestrians for a Cause, and the net proceeds will benefit The Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Springfield Stables’ owner Gregory H. Sachs has been on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Memorial Foundation since 2005, and views the hunter event as an opportunity to support a fantastic cause that he has been very involved with. “I am thrilled to be able to give back to an incredible organization that does so much for our community,” Sachs stated. “I think that the hunter derby is a wonderful way to raise money for the hospital, and I believe that it is a very important cause.”

Springfield Stables manager and head trainer Jenn Tirrell will attend the hunter derby along with Sachs, and both are very excited to be participating in the great event. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of it,” Tirrell acknowledged. “It is obviously a great cause, and I think that the hunter derbies are very important for our sport because they are bringing show hunters back to life. The hunters were so big many years ago and it has became a little bit of a dying art, so I think that the hunter derbies are helping to bring that back.”

“It is great not only for the riders, but also for the spectators and the interest that it brings to the sport,” Tirrell added. “It is a good outlet for some horses that have the talent to do those sort of courses, and it is a great opportunity for the junior riders as well. I am very excited to be a part of such a great event.”

Springfield Stables will soon be opening its brand new riding facility in Mettawa, IL, and Jenn Tirrell will bring years of experience to this exceptional new facility, which is set on 22 beautifully maintained acres near the North Shore, a short distance from Chicago.

Springfield Stables will feature an outstanding training program that is tailor-made to fit each individual rider’s goals and experience and the state-of-the-art facility will offer a full-care boarding program with the best in quality care. Springfield Stables’ website is coming soon, where all of the facility’s exceptional features and programs will be available for viewing.
