First US CPEDI3* to be held During USEF ParaEquestrian Dressage National Championship

RELEASE: March 13, 2009
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: By Joanie Morris

Lexington, KY – The 2009 United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) ParaEquestrian Dressage National Championships will be held at the Lamplight Equestrian enter in Chicago, IL May 14-17. This National Championship will be held concurrently with the Lamplight CDI; and for the first time ever in the US, a CPEDI3* will be held. This is the highest level of FEI ParaEquestrian Dressage.

ParaEquestrian Dressage riders will also be able to earn their FEI Certificate of Capability, which is required for them to participate in the USEF selection process for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

“It is so exciting that the US is hosting a CPEDI3* for the first time,” said Pam Lane, USEF Director of ParaEquestrian and Vaulting. “It is fantastic that our riders have the opportunity to earn their FEI Certificate of Capability without going to Europe – it is a great opportunity.”

There will be a number of different ParaEquestrian classes held, for the complete prize list and more information, please visit: www.dressageshowinfo.com.

For more information, please contact Pam Lane, USEF Director of ParaEquestrian and Vaulting, at plane@usef.org.

Sponsorship oppotunities are still availible, please contact Scott Carling at: scarling@usef.org for details.
