EquestrianSport.tv is Bringing Several Top Shows to You Via Streaming Video

RELEASE: June 5, 2008
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: By Susan Benson

Geographic restraints will no longer keep horse sport fans from enjoying the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, the Beacon Hill Equestrian Grand Prix Hampton Classic, and the Capital Challenge Horse Show. Using today’s streaming video technology, Equestriansport.tv is bringing the show to you. Visit www.equestriansport.tv today and you will be face to face with the hunters “under the oaks” at Upperville. See the arena, the judges, the presenters, and of course, the horses and their riders. There is no longer a need to rely on a friend’s description; instead, see it for yourself. Best of all, it is free.

The events will be broadcast daily, providing real-time viewing to fans of the equestrian world who can’t get to the locations. Streaming video is the newest addition to the coverage of the horse shows available on the web. Five years ago the management of Capital Challenge redesigned their website to publish written coverage, daily photos, and searchable results. This year’s streaming video will give the opportunity to an unlimited number of equestrians to enjoy the show.

Capital Challenge and Equestrian Sport TV rolled out the first live free video coverage of an American event on Saturday, September 30, 2006. Word traveled quickly and two days later there were over 4,000 people who watched the video stream. Since then, coverage of the Upperville Horse Show, the Beacon Hill Show Jumping Classic and several other archived events have been added to the site.

Equestrian Sport TV is a collaborative project by Oliver Kennedy, Brooks Moore, and Jon Kassel. Equestrian Sport TV brings multimedia coverage of horse sport to a worldwide audience by using the Internet to deliver real time and recorded content and avoid the geographic and time limitations of traditional broadcast media.
