Dach) put on an impressive display in Rome, Italy to finish second in the Nations Cup and take over the top spot of the Samsung Super League.

Coming off of a three-way tie for second in the first leg of the Super League two weeks ago, the U.S. riders put together another impressive performance against some very tough competition to finish just behind Great Britain.

Great Britain and the U.S. were tied with eight faults after the first two rounds and one rider from each team jumped off to determine the winner.

After jumping two clear rounds, Chef d’ Equipe George Morris selected Will Simpson and Carlsson vom Dach to return to the ring for the U.S. The California combination had one fence down to pick up four faults, giving the U.S. riders another second place finish but more importantly sole control of the overall leader board.

"It is an amazing feeling to contribute to the team score that has put us in the lead of the Samsung Super League!" said 22-year-old Charlie Jayne. "I feel honored to be a part of such an amazing team."

The Samsung Super League with FEI continues May 30 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
