One-Day Educational Event Dedicated to the Arabian Sport Horse Offered in Michigan

RELEASE: May 1, 2008
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: By Brilliant Reflection Farm

Have you ever wondered what those dressage classes are at your breed shows and wanted to try a couple but didn't have a clue how to prepare for them? Well, now's your chance to give it a go on your Arabian Sport Horse. Come and join fellow Arabian Sport Horse owners/riders for a fun-filled day on Sunday, June 1, 2008, from noon to 4 p.m. at Brilliant Reflection Farm in Ortonville, MI. The event is called "Demystifying Dressage for the Arabian Sport Horse Crowd."

Topics include:
—What is dressage? You've seen it in the prize lists, but what exactly do those letters mean? What do those funny terms mean (i.e. halt at X)? How do you decide which level and test to ride with your Arabian Sport Horse.
—Understanding the numerous award programs specific to local and regional Arabian associations: AHA, EMAA, USDF, USEF.
—Proper attire for a dressage show. Outfitting yourself and your horse without going broke.
—Get useful tips on how to ride a better dressage test. Bring your horse and have your dressage test "judged" by our clinicians.
—Dressage saddles: How to fit your horse as well as the reasons and use for different styles & features. Tracy Montgomery of Custom Saddlery will be available for fitting your horse following the lecture.

The cost for this one-day symposium is $30 per person. Stalls are $20 if you want to bring your horse to ride or have a saddle fitted specifically to your horse. Reservations are required. Click on the link Event Registration at www.brilliantreflectionfarm.com to print out a form.
