2008 Wellpride United States Eventing Association American Eventing Championships Qualifications Announced

RELEASE: December 6, 2007
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: By Amy Daum

For everyone aiming for the 2008 Wellpride United States Eventing Association (USEA) American Eventing Championships (AEC), the qualifications are now available on the USEA website, www.useventing.com. Just click on the Wellpride AEC button on the right side of the homepage and follow the links. There are two items referring to the qualifications. The first, called 2008 Wellpride AEC Complete Qualifications, gives the qualification information in its entirety. The other, called 2008 Wellpride AEC Qualifications Summary, is to be used only as a quick reference guide.

There have been several significant changes to the qualifications from those used in 2007, so those who have competed at the AEC in the past should make sure to read the new qualifications closely. Also, two new divisions have been added—the Beginner Novice level (previously run as one division) has been split into three divisions: amateur, junior and horse.

In order to ensure that horse and rider are properly qualified and entered in the correct division in the 2008 championships, please reference the Complete Qualifications document and call or e-mail the USEA offices with any questions.

The 2008 Wellpride AEC will be held September 10-14 at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL, where $60,000 in prize money and more than $100,000 in prizes will on the line. For more information on the event, visit the AEC section of the USEA website or go to www.aecatlamplight.org. To find out more about Lamplight, visit their website at www.lamplightequestrian.com.
