Three New Members Join the Kentucky Horse Council Board of Directors

The Kentucky Horse Council Board welcomes three new members, announced President Madelyn Millard of Waterwild Farm.

Latonna Wilson, a marketing specialist with Rood and Riddle Pharmacy and with training and passion for emergency equine rescue, joins as a board member and member of the Health and Welfare Committee.

Dr. Doug Byars, an equine veterinarian and nationally known equine health consultant, joins as a board member and member of the Health and Welfare Committee.

Kristin Hix, Legal and Administrative Coordinator at the Jockey Club, joins as a board member.

"We are thrilled at the addition of these three highly talented and committed professionals to our board," says Millard. "The Kentucky Horse Council's new initiatives will benefit from their knowledge, industry contacts, and unique perspectives."

The next Kentucky Horse Council board meeting is September 18 at University of Kentucky's Maine Chance Farm, and is open to Kentucky Horse Council members.
