AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: Andrew Minnick

Waco, Texas
- The seeding committee got it right. Though there were some close calls at the Extraco Events Center Friday, but all four of the top seeded teams in the 2014 National Collegiate Equestrian Association Championship have moved onto the semi-finals.

Top seed and tournament favorite South Carolina jumped out to an early lead and held on to win 9-7 over Texas Christian.

No. 4 seed Auburn had the biggest win of day, earning a 13-3 win over Kansas State.

The conference rival will meet in the semi-finals Saturday. No.1 South Carolina vs. No.4 Auburn.

On the other side of the bracket, No.2 Oklahoma State handled No.10 Southern Methodist 11-5.

No.3 Georgia had the narrowest victory of the day, an extremely close matchup came down to the final discipline. A 2-1 Horsemanship win for the Bulldogs earned them a spot in the semi-finals.

No.2 Oklahoma States vs. No.3 Georgia will be a matchup of perenial powers, with different strengths, and a trip to the finals on the line.
