USEF and USEA Announce Revised Eventing 18/Advancing Athlete Program for 2014

RELEASE: January 13, 2014
AUTHOR/ADMINISTRATOR: USEF Communications Department

Lexington, Ky.- For 2014 the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and United States Eventing Association (USEA) have revised the Eventing 18/ Advancing Athlete program. Riders wishing to participate in the program will be required to complete an application and will be observed at pre-
determined eventing competitions throughout the spring and summer of 2014.

The goal of this program is to build a foundation of future horsemen and women that will hopefully go on to represent the United States. U.S. Eventing Coach David O'Connor will oversee the program and teach training camps throughout the year, which will include immersion in all facets of horsemanship.

Talent Spotters will observe applicants at USEF and USEA sanctioned competitions throughout the United States. The Talent Spotters will report to the Talent Advisors which will select the best riders to be part of the program by August 8, 2014.  Training camp dates and location determined by O’Connor based on geographic location of riders.

The Talent Advisors are;
Mike Huber
Jon Holling
Bea di Grazia
Jan Byyny, Substitute Member
