Wendy Fryke

Wendy Fryke of Parker, CO, started riding as an adult in the hunter and jumper rings, then moved on to eventing at the lower levels.
It was the dressage phase of horse trials that led Fryke to para-dressage. Fryke applied for a dispensation so that she could ride with a hood on her right stirrup iron to secure her foot.
In 2010 riding Lateran, Fryke swept her Grade III classes at the CPEDI 3* at the Dressage Affaire in Del Mar.
Fryke and the Westphalian stallion, Lateran, were seventh at the USEF Selection Trial/National Championship for the U.S. Para-Equestrian Team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. They completed their season by representing the U.S. at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian

Fryke competed in the 2009 Cavalor/USEF National Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championships riding her mare Katanga.
Fryke and her husband, Michael, have two daughters Rachel, age 20, and Maggie, who is 17. Outside of riding, Fryke is a published poet and a fledgling cyclist.
